The American Amateur Press Association (AAPA) is a nation-wide
non-profit organization of amateur journalists founded in
1936. The purpose of the association is the promotion of
amateur journalism and fellowship of amateur writers, editors,
printers, and publishers; and the circulation of their work
among the membership.
The National Amateur Press Association (NAPA) is the oldest
amateur journalism group in the world. It's a hobby group
whose purpose is amateur printing, writing, editing, and
publishing. Letterpress printing is a major interest of most
members of the association.
The United Amateur Press Association of America (UAPAA) was
established in 1895 for the purpose of bringing amateur
writers together to share their creative writings, exchange
ideas, and encourage printers and desktop publishers to
produce newsletters from their home print shops.
