MISSISSIPPI HAS HAD few amateur journals, although as early as 1874 Frank B. Whipple issued Ink Drops from Jackson. In 1877 R. McWilliams published the Young Reader in Corinth, and in later years John B. Hood issued the Southern Star in Jonestown.
