History of Early Amateur Journalism in Colorado

 

AMATEUR JOURNALISM in Colorado centered in Denver, and its first exponent was W. Eldridge Price, who in 1882 published the Queen City Amateur. Later Price published Grit and the Prickly Pear. Following Price in 1882, W. C. Davis published the Wasp, M. V. Thomas Our Opinion, and Bert Cunningham Mixed Pickles. In 1883 Wayne Goodwin, in El Moro, published the Clipper.
